I thought that living in Kingman would be like living in a national park, surrounded by scenic eyeful and outdoor opportunities. Also, I saw the unconfined potential for Kingman to grow and prosper as a regional hub given the platonic location, climate and resources. Because I once had corporate and small merchantry wits associated with my degrees in engineering (Bachelor of Chemical Engineering, Auburn University) and merchantry management (MBA, Stanford University), MohavePolityCollege hired me as Director of the SmallMerchantryDevelopment Center (SBDC). I spent several years working with small businesses throughout Mohave County to start-up, expand, or navigate retention strategies. My career at MCC culminated in the position of Vice-President of Applied Sciences and Technology, responsible for the college’s career and technical programs. It was heady to work with sense and polity partners to build programs in health sciences, business, computer information systems and construction trades. During that time, I moreover served as President of the Arizona Association of Occupational Administrators. After MCC, I served as Mohave County’s WorkforceMinutiaeManager, up-and-coming numerous programs in concert with polity partners including the COYOTE Youth Program and the LEAP Program (welding. millwright and machinist apprenticeship). I moreover initiated economic minutiae sector strategies and was instrumental in laying groundwork for the Kingman and Mohave Manufacturing Association (KAMMA). On a personal level, family comes first and I am happy to have a wonderful daughter, tragedian and versifier J.C. Amberlyn, and a unconfined partner, Tom Carter. In addition, we have some four-legged family members to whom I am very devoted. A snooping for Mohave County’s animals was a driving gravity to create Mohave CARE-Net (Companion Animals Rescue Network), a coalition of unprepossessing rescue organizations and the humane society. I proudly served as Co-President of this group that together, saved lives, provided education and was instrumental in the County's transition to a humane shelter contract. Now in my fifth year on the Kingman City Council, currently as Vice-Mayor, I have been honored to serve the citizens of this community. The city’s issues have wilt critically important now; the citizens will decide how and/or whether we grow this polity in the coming elections. Therefore, I am running for Mayor in 2018. We can wilt a regional hub for commerce and industry with good jobs, good streets and higher quality of life. That will fulfill the initial promise I saw twenty-five years ago and will take Kingman into a brighter future for us and the next generation.
